Criminal Defense Attorney Patrick Kelley

Pat Kelley has been a trial lawyer since his graduation from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1983. Pat Kelley has been a criminal attorney since his graduation from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1983.  He began his career as a JAG officer in the U.S. Army, serving as a Trial Counsel and Senior Defense Counsel. In 1989, he left the Army to join the Commonwealth’s Attorney office for the City of Williamsburg/James City County. During his 6 years with this office, he prosecuted thousands of cases, from simple trespassing to murders, rapes and robberies.

He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  He is also a former adjunct professor at the Law School of William and Mary where he taught Legal Skills and Advanced Criminal Procedure.
